How Should a Pro-Life Teenager Spend His Summer Vacation?

What is the best way for a young man to spend his summer? Joining TFP Student Action on a pro-life caravan is a noble option.

Pro-Life Tour Kicks Off Across Four States

On July 16, 2025, the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, TFP Student Action launched a pro-life tour through four states and the District of Columbia. Fifteen young volunteers will dedicate two weeks of their summer to defend the most fundamental human right: the God-given right to life. This pro-life crusade is dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The caravan kicked off in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at Colonial Commons with a display of signs asking the public to “honk” against abortion. Morning commuters showed support by enthusiastically honking.

A TFP bagpiper and drummer played patriotic music to add a touch of beauty to the event.

The Public Reacts to the Pro-life Message

Next Stop: Camp Hill. Three more volunteers joined the campaign in Camp Hill, bringing the group to nineteen. With the extra numbers, the volunteers covered the sidewalks at a busy intersection.

Again, supportive honks prevailed. However, a few pro-abortion malcontents made their presence known with vulgar gestures and shouts.

TFP Symbols Speak to the Soul

TFP symbols convey an ideal that frequently elicits admiration. This was the case in Carlisle, Penn., where the beauty of the TFP standard struck a man: “I love how big the flag is,” he said, “and I especially like the fleur-de-lis on top.”

Morally Bankrupt Liberals

In both Carlisle and Camp Hill, there were a few examples of liberal nonsense.

One liberal woman did not have the gumption to speak with TFP volunteers face-to-face. Instead, as the TFP flag bearer was looking away, she ran up and stuck an obscene sticky note to the flagpole and left briskly without a word. What she wrote down on the note is unpublishable.

Another vile act occurred when a pro-abortion man shoved a phone displaying filthy images into a TFP member’s face. Disgusting!

“I want to kill all the [expletive] babies!”

A purple-haired leftist woman screamed from her car, “Jesus [expletive] hates you!” One volunteer asked her to calm down and use real arguments instead of insults. What happened next was shocking.

She parked her car and ran over to scream more insults laced with foul language. Her “arguments” also made no sense. She ended her tirade by yelling, “I want to kill all the [expletive] babies!”

Pro-Life Support

Many showed their pro-life support by honking and talking to the TFP volunteers.

A local pro-life activist heard the commotion caused by multiple honking vehicles against abortion and came to the intersection to investigate. He was pleasantly surprised to see the nineteen enthusiastic pro-lifers.

Others also offered encouragement. “If I had a horn, I would honk the heck out of this thing,” said one. Another added, “I am totally Catholic and totally pro-life.” Yet another said, “If I could, I would join you.”

In another case, a pro-abortion woman shouted insults from her vehicle and car her tongue out.

The driver in a car next to her drove between the TFP volunteers and the liberal, saying, “That’s just liberal nonsense. They have no arguments, so they say stupid things.” Pointing to his two young daughters, he continued: “My daughters wouldn’t be here if they were aborted: That would be terrible. God bless you, gentlemen! Keep up the good work.”

Liberals Bark and Scream

A woman approached 14-year-old volunteer Killian and began barking at his sign, which read, “Smile, you survived abortion.”

Throughout the day, not a single abortion advocate attempted to debate. Why? Because they have no persuasive arguments to justify the unjustifiable taking of innocent life.

The Pro-Life Cause is Youthful and Courageous

Although Roe v. Wade was overturned, abortions continue because the culture of death permeates society. Therefore, TFP Student Action seeks not only to end the sin of abortion but to create a culture of purity whereby virtue is practiced and vice is discouraged.

The faces on this TFP Student Action tour are youthful and joyful. They understand that the ultimate victory belongs to God and that every time they unfurl their banners in the public square, the culture of death retreats, and the light of truth advances.
