VCU Professor Threatens to Snap Pro-Lifer's Neck

Screaming, death threats, and physical assault. These were among the reactions TFP Student Action volunteers encountered at Virginia Commonwealth University on October 28, 2026, during their pro-life tour of Virginia.

The shocking behavior of students and even a professor raises a troubling question: Has academia lost its mind?

Immediate Conflict

The campus was teeming with students. But as soon as they saw the pro-life signs, groups of students booed and gave the volunteers the middle finger.

In less than ten minutes, chaos broke out. A professor grabbed the TFP videographer's camera and tried to shove him into the road. A student ripped up a pro-life flyer and shoved it into a TFP member's face. Groups of students also harassed the volunteers with profanities and insults.

TFP volunteer Jonathan Marin arrived ten minutes later to find pieces of torn-up TFP flyers scattered on the ground. As he remarked, "Wow, it looks like I missed all the action," a pro-abortion student splashed a cup of water over him.

Pro-Abortion Professor: "I’d snap your neck"

One professor expressed his anger through profanity and violent threats. He focused his hostility on TFP member Rafael Ramos, who had attracted a circle of students listening to his pro-life arguments.

The professor reportedly canceled his class to confront the TFP volunteers, and many of his students gathered to watch his exchange with Rafael. But instead of answering Rafael's arguments, the professor resorted to increasingly violent language. Then came an astonishing exchange.

He compared Rafael to Charlie Kirk.

“You’re in favor of me getting shot like Charlie Kirk?” asked Rafael

“Yes, I am!”

The professor grew angrier.

“I would do more than hit you. I’d snap your neck off and (expletive) down your throat.”

Throughout the confrontation, Rafael remained composed despite the professor's escalating threats and aggression.

Hate Has a Home at VCU

Instead of presenting coherent arguments, abortion advocates on campus resorted to vulgar gestures, foul language, and racial slurs.

Several students formed a counter-protest, lining up directly in front of the volunteers and their banner, "Pray and Act to End the Sin of Abortion." Their signs included phrases such as:

"Is your god against Human Rights?"

"EVERYONE deserves the right to a safe and legal abortion"

"Music should spread love, not hate"

"Abortion is healthcare."

The protesters shouted slogans while one pro-abortion student played the violin, attempting to drown out the message for moral values. But the TFP bagpipes prevailed.

Police Intervention

Police intervened several times as the pro-abortion protesters escalated their actions from verbal harassment to physical aggression. When one woman dumped an entire cup of coffee on TFP volunteer Joseph Gensens, police arrested her, and charged her.

Another student tried to steal a volunteer's red cape. After failing to take it, the student appeared poised to head-butt the volunteer. Police stepped in before he could do so.

After two hours of abuse and harassment, the TFP volunteers calmly concluded their peaceful campaign with three Hail Marys to Our Lady and the TFP battle cry.

Police then had to create a barrier to hold back the harassing mob, which chanted, "Get the [expletive] out! Get the [expletive] out!"

At that very moment, several pro-life students observing the scene chanted, "Y'all can stay! Y'all can stay!" Others added, "Please come back: this was great."

Hope Amid the Decay

"That was one of the most decadent campuses I've ever been to," said TFP volunteer Gregory Jones. "Those perverse pro-abortion reactions made my stomach turn."

"But there is a lot of hope for the future because the grace of God is more powerful than all the forces of darkness and sin combined," he said. "I'm full of hope because there is a small but courageous and articulate minority of students who love the truth and are willing to make sacrifices to render the sin of abortion totally unthinkable."

"With the grace of God," he stated, "that minority will keep growing and expanding and conquering more souls to establish the reign of Christ the King on earth."
