Why Do College Students Scream, Curse, and Spit?

The title may seem provocative. However, it reflects a sad reality: many colleges have ceased being institutions of higher learning and abandoned logical discourse.

At their latest campus crusade at the University of Delaware, volunteers for the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) witnessed frantic feminist reactions against the right to life.

When Does Life Begin?

As TFP volunteers handed out “10 Reasons to Protect the Unborn” flyers, a student disputed when life really begins. Although medical textbooks affirm human life starts at conception, the liberal student refused to accept reality and attempted to find a different answer on her smartphone. The unsuccessful search ended when she quietly slid the phone back into her pocket and said she had to “go to class.”

Her friend, also involved in the discussion, looked up the same question and found the same answer. Instead of finding an excuse to justify abortion, she said that it doesn’t matter if human life starts at conception, “we should kill them [babies] anyway.” Then she ripped up a TFP flyer.

Students Join the Pro-Life Side

Students gathered on every street corner to listen to the debate. Despite leftist hostility, TFP volunteers remained calm and firm in their convictions.

Suddenly, some students joined the pro-life side, unafraid to affirm the same truths as the TFP volunteers despite peer pressure. These students, mostly men, were joyful as they joined the fight for the unborn.

Others showed their support by taking the flyer and saying, “Thank you so much!” and “Keep up the good work” and “God bless!”

“I love TFP,” said another as he drove by.

Higher Education?

While the campaign was in full swing, the behavior on campus called the idea of “higher education” into question. One woman poured her Red Bull on TFP volunteers. But instead of criticizing her rude actions, the feminist crowd only cheered her on.

Multiple students spit at TFP members. After these attacks, the police arrived and tried their best to quiet the feminist counter-protest.

One man saw the pro-life sign, “Abortion is a daily 9/11.” His response was, “I don’t care that 9/11 happened and wouldn’t mind if it happened another 5 or 6 times.”

Another woman, pretending to be pro-life, asked one of the TFP members what he name was.. “It’s Joseph,” he said. She responded, “I would like to have a baby and name him Joseph so that I can abort him.”

They Lost the Debate

Eventually, the pro-abortion side, seeing that their arguments were empty, switched to yelling, “My body, my choice!”

Normal discussion became impossible, so the pro-lifers played patriotic hymns on the bagpipes. Then they sought heavenly assistance by praying the holy Rosary. After each decade, they sang the Ave while holding rosaries aloft.

With each Hail Mary, the pro-abortionists exhibited more and more hatred. Some screamed blasphemy against the prayer.

Battle for the Unborn

After a well-fought battle, the pro-life crusaders lined up for the TFP battle cry: “Tradition, Family, Property!” followed by “America!” three times then marched marched to their vehicle with a police escort while singing “God Bless America.”

Abortion activists followed in pursuit, taunting as they trailed behind. The police kept them at bay.

Finally, TFP Student Action members gave a final salvo: “Viva Cristo Rey!” and “Viva Maria Santisima!”
