As a result, all of my signs have been destroyed.” Although Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., is the oldest Catholic university in the nation, the climate on campus does not favor Catholic teaching or foster respect for the fundamental human right to life. Recently, three pro-life signs posted in the free speech area known as Red Square were vandalized. These signs read: "Abortion is a sin." "Real Catholics oppose abortion." "Abortion is not healthcare." This incident is not the first one, as similar signs put up by Fabrizio, promoting God's marriage and featuring a quote from the Catholic catechism, were also torn down within seconds in the same area last year. "You would expect a straightforward Catholic message to be accepted on a Catholic campus. But, regrettably, the truth is no longer welcome. If a Planned Parenthood sign or a rainbow flag were removed from the same location, what would be the consequences?" asked Fabrizio. “Unfortunately, the culture of death has infiltrated even Catholic institutions. But the truth still stands: Being Catholic and pro-abortion is impossible, Fabrizio continued. “Abortion is a grave sin against God because it kills an innocent human person.” The Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person -- among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.” Despite the hostile climate on campus, Fabrizio says more students are motivated to restore family values. “The truth is always attractive. Among them were members of TFP Student Action and the Saint Louis de Montfort Academy. Undaunted by torrential rain, the pro-life advocates assembled in Foley Square on March 23, 2024 to hear a line-up of speakers before setting off down Broadway Avenue, the Canyon of Heroes, in Manhattan’s financial district. Abortion activists, however, mobilized to disrupt the event with noise makers and obscene chants. They displayed vulgar pro-abortion signs, LGBT pride flags, and rainbow umbrellas as they taunted and screamed “my body, my choice” and other vile insults. Even before the march commenced, New York Police Department officers arrested a handful of pro-abortion troublemakers for misconduct, including one man wearing a satanic face mask. In stark contrast, the pro-life gathering was prayerful and patriotic, with American flags and rosaries on prominent display. Dawn Eskew, president of Personhood Education New York, introduced local pro-life leaders, activists, and clergy who addressed the crowd assembled in the plaza despite the heavy rainfall and flood warning. Speakers included the Very Rev. Joseph Coffey, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, pro-life priest Fr. Should they bury their heads in the sand like ostriches or fight for a return to order like crusaders? Looking for answers and solutions, dozens of young men from across the nation attended TFP Student Action’s conference over the New Year’s weekend. The three-day event took place at The American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) headquarters in Pennsylvania. The leitmotif of the conference was Exploring Return-to-Order Solutions in a Crumbling World, and several outstanding lectures highlighted the theme. Mr. John Horvat II, vice president of the American TFP and author of Return to Order, explained how Catholics need to be bold and daring. The solution to the present crises calls for nothing less than a complete restoration of Christendom. Mr. Norman Fulkerson, the author of An American Knight, presented the need to engage the culture and encourage leaders on all levels of society to step forward. True leaders or representative characters are those who perceive “the ideals, principles, and qualities that are desired and admired by a community or nation,” and translate them into “concrete programs of life and culture.” Other lectures included: The Vital Role of the Sublime to Fight the Revolution The Spirit of Chivalry and TFP Student Action Campaigns TFP Reports from the Battlefield, and Leveling the Playing Field: An Appeal to the Angels “I loved the topics of how you have to study and identify the tactics of Satan and the Revolution,” said one participant, “because as knights of Mary and warriors of Christ, we have to know these things to defeat them more effectively.” The world is plummeting into chaos. A nuclear World War III looms on the horizon. LGBT tyranny cancels anyone who opposes its lies. Public Satanism is on the rise. And the crisis in the Church is apparent with the Vatican’s crackdown on tradition and the push for “synodality.” In short, society is crumbling. However, the young men who attended the conference left with a better understanding of what God is calling them to do. Just as the crusaders of old, Catholic men today must cry “Deus vult” and enter the breach!
