Over 21,544 Rosary Rallies Inspire More Devotion to Our Lady of Fatima

From coast to coast, an army of rosary rally captains brought together groups of prayer warriors and went to the most visible locations in their communities to proclaim the Faith. Large banners displayed their message everywhere: “Pray the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary asking God to save America.”
At noon on October 15, 2022, the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) and its America Needs Fatima campaign sponsored 21,544 Public Square Rosary Rallies across America. The spiritual crusade is a massive undertaking to win the heart and soul of our beloved nation for Jesus and Mary.
Rosary rally supplies shipped from TFP headquarters. To meet the demand, volunteers worked overtime, answering calls, shipping boxes, and keeping printers rolling non-stop to produce thousands of banners. More than 36 miles of banner material was used, which equals the length of 651 football fields or 2,486 tennis courts!
Since 2007, the TFP’s annual Public Square Rosary Rally Crusade has expanded beyond all expectations. Sister TFP organizations beyond America’s borders joined the effort. This year, Canada Needs Our Lady launched 773 rosary rallies and South Africa Needs Our Lady coordinated an additional 1,102.
Flagship Rally
In New York City, the TFP-America Needs Fatima held its 15th consecutive flagship rally on Fifth Avenue near Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. Attended by throngs of local Catholics, the site of the rally was most appropriate because big cities are centers of vice, and the rally in the Big Apple was a tangible way to fulfill the request made by Our Lady of Fatima to do acts of reparation to God for the sins of the world.
“Our Lady pointed out prayer, penance, and amendment of one’s life as the fundamental remedies for the contemporary world,” explains TFP founder Prof. Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira.
The purpose of the rosary crusade is vital: To beg heaven for graces of pardon and conversion and ask Our Lady to bring about Her promised triumph over the forces of evil, darkness, and chaos in the world.
A Cry to Heaven
Unfortunately, Our Lady of Fatima’s message has been largely ignored for over a century. Public sins such as same-sex unions, blasphemy, satanism, transgenderism, and procured abortion continue. The “errors of Russia” mentioned by Our Lady of Fatima are in plain sight. And the moral decay within our culture prompts many to wonder: When will God punish the world?
Indeed, it seems the chastisement predicted by Our Lady of Fatima in 1917, looms on the horizon. The global economy is unsettled, and a possible nuclear conflict could spark World War III. Yet amid the crisis, approximately 365,000 faithful Catholics, led by 21,544 brave rally captains, gathered across the nation, placing their hope in Heaven and Heaven’s Queen, Our Lady of the Rosary.
Praying for Our Lady’s Triumph
History proclaims the efficacy of the Rosary. Through its recitation, Saint Dominic overcame the Albigensian heresy, Christian forces defeated Islam at the Battle of Lepanto, and Soviet communists surprisingly evacuated from Vienna, Austria. Likewise, Catholics today can face and overcome today’s evils with the holy Rosary.
With supernatural hope, those who attended the rally in New York City held signs, banners, and rosaries. They sang Marian hymns in honor of the Mother of God, accompanied by the TFP pipe and drum corps, which included St. Louis de Montfort Academy students.
The event’s focal point was a statue of Our Lady of Fatima carried with devotion by four TFP members in their ceremonial habit. Curious pedestrians flocked around, wondering what was going on, and many slowed or stopped to admire the statue or take pictures. Non-Catholics inquired about the message of Fatima. Some made the sign of the cross, while others watched from the steps of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Even those who wished to appear indifferent had to acknowledge that something important was taking place.
“You shall obtain all you ask”
Sister Lucia dos Santos, the oldest Fatima seer, said, “The Most Holy Virgin in these last times in which we live has given a new efficacy to the recitation of the Rosary to such an extent that there is no problem, no matter how difficult it is, whether temporal or above all spiritual, in the personal life of each one of us, of our families… that cannot be solved by the Rosary. There is no problem, I tell you, no matter how difficult it is, that we cannot resolve by the prayer of the Holy Rosary.”
Moreover, Our Lady told Blessed Alan de la Roche: “You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the Rosary.”
Thus, public and private recitation of the Rosary is imperative. The faithful children of Our Lady must proclaim her virtues and defend her honor in the public square. And they are in growing numbers!
