Catholic Church in NYC Hosts Blasphemous Exhibit: “God is Trans”
The truth is clear: “God created man to His own image: to the image of God He created him: male and female He created them” (Gen. 1:27).
However, the Church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan, New York, recently introduced a blasphemous "art" exhibit next to an altar titled, “God is Trans: A Queer Spiritual Journey.” This same parish is notorious for its “gay-friendly” masses and so-called “Out at St. Paul” pro-LGBT “ministry.”
This is not Catholic but an outrage against God.
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; such thing is an abomination” (Leviticus 18:22).
The LGBT movement claims that a biological male could be born a female, and that a male could be born with an attraction to other males. Despite no scientific evidence, the lie of transgenderism is perpetuated to justify unnatural vice and suggest that God made a mistake.
Taking a Principled, Not a Personal Stand
Transgender ideology violates the law of non-contradiction, which states that contradictory propositions cannot both be true at the same time. One cannot be a biological male and a female at the same time, a truth upheld by the Catholic Church. Therefore, calling God, who is the essence of Truth, “trans” is blasphemy and reparation must be made.
This “Art” Exhibit is not Catholic and Doesn’t Belong in a Church
Three paintings were placed next to the altar at St. Paul the Apostle Church which highlight the “queer spiritual journey.” Since the paintings are nearly unintelligible, the “artist” printed a description for each painting.
The first painting, which appears to include two men kissing, is supposedly about the “need to shed an old life” and that “There is no devil; just past selves.” This statement alone denies the existence of the devil, and in turn, evil – contrary to the teachings of Our Lord.
The second painting questions: “What does holiness look like? What does your god look like? Are these two portrayals that can be merged?” These questions imply that holiness is subjective and that “your god” is something that you create on your own. This is deeply rooted in Gnosticism, a heresy condemned by the Catholic Church in the 2nd century. There is only one God and He is The Creator – not the creation.
The third painting supposedly “rounds out this spiritual journey, by placing God and the mortal on the same plane.” This statement is radically egalitarian, bringing God down to the level of the individual, instead of calling the individual to perfect and model himself after the Divine Model, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
The blasphemous exhibit is an affront to God and must be promptly removed.
What God and His Saints Say About Homosexuality
The attempt to promote ‘LGBT Catholicism’ is not Catholic but rather an entirely new anti-religion that seeks to destroy the foundations of the Church and Christian society. St. Paul, the patron of the aforementioned parish, was clear in his condemnation of homosexual sin.
“Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor boy prostitutes, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
“For this cause God delivered them up to shameful affections. For their women have changed the natural use into that use which is against nature. And, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, have burned in their lusts one towards another, men with men working that which is filthy, and receiving in themselves the recompense which was due to their error" (Romans 1:26-27).
Let us also remember the lesson of Sodom and Gomorrah.
“And the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of Heaven. And He destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring form the Earth” (Gen. 20: 24-25).
“Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire" (St. Jude 1:7).
This is why the Catholic Church condemns sodomy as one of the four sins that cry to Heaven for vengeance.
Call for Reparation to God
The “God is Trans” exhibit is another move to subvert the Holy Catholic Church from within. Associating God with the LGBT movement is a grave attack against His nature.
It is not charitable to lead souls down the road to Hell. In fact, admonishing the sinner is a work of mercy, as the Church teaches. In order to practice true charity (which is the love of God above all things), reparation must be made against this blasphemy, which can include offering Holy Communion and reciting prayers of reparation to God against blasphemy.
Make your voice heard and don’t be silent in the face of evil.
