Woke Alert: Girls-Only Catholic College to Enroll Men Who Identify as Women
For 179 years, young ladies were respected at a college tailored exclusively for them. But that time-honored tradition was shattered by gender ideology. Starting in 2024, men who self-identify as women will be accepted at Saint Mary’s College, an all-girls Catholic school in Notre Dame, Indiana.

According to news reports, college president Katie Conboy told faculty members in a letter that “Saint Mary’s will consider undergraduate applicants whose sex assigned at birth is female or who consistently live and identify as women.”
“We are by no means the first Catholic women’s college to adopt a policy with this scope,” Conboy stated. “In drafting the language for this update, I have relied on the guidance of the Executive Team and others to ensure that our message is not only in line with best practices for today’s college students, but that it also encompasses our commitment to operate as a Catholic women’s college.”
However, Catholic students and alumni are not pleased with the self-destructive policy change, which favors the destruction of God’s design of human nature.
Claire Bettag, a junior at Saint Mary’s College, felt betrayed. “St. Mary’s College is no longer Catholic,” she told The Daily Signal. “It is no longer a women’s institution. This is fraudulent misrepresentation at best. Every student should be entitled to a refund for fraudulent misrepresentation,” she said. “They have abandoned their faith, and they’ve abandoned the women. No woman should be forced to share a bathroom or living quarters with a man.”
Clare Ann Ath, a Saint Mary’s alumna, voiced her concern. “Just found out my alma mater, an all-women’s Catholic college, will be accepting BIOLOGICAL MEN starting next fall,” she stated on Twitter. “This decision is blasphemous & a complete rejection of the Church and it’s teachings on gender and sexuality. Where is the @diocesefwsb? How can this be allowed?”
Another alumna, Emily, told TFP Student Action: “I am upset the school is contradicting Catholic teaching. Many of us went to Saint Mary's because it was a woman’s college and this decision seems to disregard over 175 years of tradition.”
Some Catholic dioceses have issued guidelines for educational institutions against the immoral demands of the homosexual revolution that undermine basic biology and harm the natural development of children.
In a joint statement published on September 29, 2023, the Most Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, archbishop of San Francisco, and the Most Rev. Michael C. Barber, bishop of Oakland, unmasked the falsehood of transgenderism.
“The body and soul come into existence together, in an individual human being at the time of conception. From the beginning of his or her existence, the human person has a body that is sexually differentiated as male or female,” the bishops explained.
The fact that God created mankind male and female is good and in accordance with His will. Therefore, nobody is born in the “wrong” body.
As the Catechism of the Catholic Church explains, “man may not despise his bodily life. Rather, he is obliged to regard his body as good and to hold it in honor since God has created it and will raise it up on the last day.”
