Santa Clara University Features Planned Parenthood for Catholic Students
Santa Clara University in California features mega abortion provider Planned Parenthood as a “health” resource for students. The online entries raise deep concern among young Catholics who believe in the God-given right to life, which naturally extends to the innocent unborn.
TFP Student Action has launched a petition calling for the removal of Planned Parenthood currently listed three times on the university’s web site.
“How can a Catholic university favor Planned Parenthood and not blush with shame over the blatant contradiction?” said TFP Student Action director John Ritchie. “In good conscience, we can't stay silent and allow the Culture of Death to poison more young minds. No way. Not on a Catholic campus.”
“Instead of featuring Planned Parenthood that attacks Church teaching, kills innocent babies, and markets transgenderism for children, students should be given the names of honorable pro-life organizations that faithfully defend the unborn,” continued Ritchie. “There are many morally upright groups to pick from.”
Planned Parenthood is not only listed as a “health” resource by Santa Clara, but also featured on another page titled, “parenting in the climate crisis.” According to the entry, environmentalism and abortion are closely “intertwined” and “cannot be realized without the other.”
TFP Student Action invites pro-lifers to join its peaceful protest and call for the removal of all pro-abortion groups currently listed by Santa Clara University. The sin of abortion is incompatible with Catholic education. Moreover, the Catholic mission and motto of the university is Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (for the greater glory of God) which excludes the sin of abortion and impurity.
“Real Catholics never favor abortion,” Ritchie said. “We should encourage Santa Clara to delete Planned Parenthood because procured abortion offends God, destroys the integrity of Catholic education, and harms the moral fabric of our nation.”

Saint Padre Pio replied: “The day that people lose their horror for abortion will be the most terrible day for humanity. Abortion is not only a homicide but also a suicide. Shouldn’t we have the courage to manifest our faith before those who commit two crimes within one act?
But how is abortion connected to “suicide?” asked Fr. Pellegrino.
Padre Pio explained: “The suicide of the human race will be understood by those who will see the earth populated by the elderly and depopulated of children: burnt as a desert.”
