What I Saw at Fr. James Martin’s Georgetown Conference

Shock and horror. These are words that best define what I saw at Fr. James Martin’s 2026 Outreach Conference.

On June 19, 2026, TFP Student Action volunteers prayed as they protested the Outreach Conference at Georgetown University. At the oldest Catholic University in America, Pride Month is celebrated, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is offended.

I was there, and what I witnessed was disturbing.

Gathering of Rainbow Activists

Before attending the rosary rally at Georgetown, I read TFP Student Action’s protest and was horrified by the list of speakers slotted to present at Outreach 2026.

Number one on the list is Fr. James Martin, S.J., also known as the “Rainbow Jesuit.”

Speaker Sister Nancy Corcoran, CSJ, also attended. She notoriously said the Church is “wrong” on transgenderism and has praised the so-called “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” a group of homosexual men who masquerade as nuns.

“Michael” Sennett also spoke. She is a woman who pretends to be a man.

“Christine” Zuba, on the other hand, is a man who pretends to be a woman. He is a panel speaker who has boasted of being an Extraordinary Minister.

Other concerning speakers were Fr. John Keenen, S.J., and Yunuen Trujillo, who both publicly promote the homosexual lifestyle.

Support from Cardinal McElroy

As I was preparing to leave for Georgetown, I read the letter from Cardinal Robert McElroy to the Outreach Conference published that morning.

The letter was one of praise for the conference. “I am delighted to welcome you,” the Cardinal wrote. “For I know that the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present in our meetings and discussions.”

Paradigm Shift Favors Lust

In the letter, Cardinal McElroy points to the Synod on Synodality as the inspiration for this new paradigm.

“The Conference comes directly after the release of Study Group 9 of the Synod on Synodality, which places LGBT ministry within a new paradigm.” He continues, “This new paradigm points to the true pathway for establishing Todos, Todos, Todos in our Church.”

As I read this letter, a question arose in my mind: “Can I, as a practicing Catholic, protest a conference a Cardinal of the Church is supporting?”

To paraphrase the last words of Saint Thomas More, I realized that we are called to be the Cardinal’s good subject, but God’s law comes first.

So with a clear conscience, I went to prayerfully protest.

Prayer Conquers Blasphemy

With 10 other young Catholics, we began to pray the Holy Rosary in front of Georgetown University’s main gate in reparation to God.

Our banner ran: “We support Catholic teaching and reject Fr. Martin’s attempt to normalize homosexual acts.”

Within ten minutes, four police cruisers pulled up. University staff seemed to be asking them to kick us off the sidewalk. However, it was clear that our rally was peaceful, legal, and prayerful, so the police had no reason to intervene.

A group of men formed across the street with a Franciscan priest amongst them. They pointed and jeered at our group, and one even held up a rainbow rosary, although he never prayed.

Many pro-homosexual and pro-transgender individuals filed by us as we prayed. Rainbow and LGBT paraphernalia bedecked most of their clothing and tote bags.

A pro-lesbian woman walked by with a blasphemous t-shirt depicting the Holy Family holding a pride flag. The Infant Jesus’ swaddling clothes were rainbow-colored.

Even priests wore different symbols of the homosexual agenda along with their Roman collars.

Horrified by all of this, I kept praying.

Wolf in Shepherd’s Clothing

One incident in particular made my stomach turn.

One priest approached close enough so we could hear him and smell strong perfume. He accused TFP volunteers of being closeted homosexuals. “They will all come out [of the closet],” he said. “That’s how it always is.”

Is this the same event where, as Cardinal McElroy put it, “the Holy Spirit will be profoundly present”?

Dissident Nun Defends Transgenderism

One of the speakers TFP’s petition warned about, Sister Nancy Corcoran, came up to us in person, but she was not dressed as a nun.

TFP Student Action director John Ritchie asked her, “Sister Corcoran, how can you be here? This is terrible. Transgenderism is against natural law.”

She replied, “Where in the Bible does it say that [it’s wrong]?”

Mr. Ritchie replied, “Where it says, ‘God made them male and female.’ As a Catholic nun, you should know that.”

Transgender Provokes

After we finished a series of rosaries and were getting ready to leave, a transgender activist approached.

This biological man, dressed as a woman, said: “Oh, it is you [TFP],” in a sappy falsetto voice. “Can I take a picture with you?”

Mr. Ritchie replied, “No, we don’t want a picture with you.” The pro-LGBT activist’s voice changed disturbingly to a deeper masculine pitch. “Oh, but I want to take a picture of you.”

One of the Catholic students present told me afterward that he felt very uneasy after that response.

June Belongs to the Sacred Heart, Not Pride

After seeing first-hand the fruits of Fr. Martin’s Outreach Conference, the obvious question arose: How can a blasphemous event celebrating “pride” be tolerated and praised by members of the clergy?

As I was thinking about this on my drive home, something else caught my attention. I saw a beautiful billboard featuring the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The caption: “June belongs to the Sacred Heart.”

Indeed, faithful Catholics are celebrating the Sacred Heart in June, not pride.

The billboard made me think about how this homo-heresy is a perverted usurpation of the month’s true devotion and purpose.

There is a dichotomy between the true love of the Sacred Heart and the perverted lust of the homosexual revolution. These two opposing sides cannot coexist.

Until the world embraces the Sacred Heart of Jesus—repents and converts —we must continue to make reparation for the grave sin of pride and resist dissident voices within the Church that seek to overthrow God’s order.
