Thousands Say NO to Abortion at Pennsylvania State Capitol
The streets surrounding the Pennsylvania State Capitol echoed with chants, prayers, and the sound of bagpipes as over 6,000 pro-lifers rallied for the most noble of causes—the defense of innocent human life.
On September 22, 2025, the fifth annual Pennsylvania March for Life marked a bold stand against the culture of death. The turnout was a powerful testament to the growing strength of the pro-life movement—and most importantly, its future. The march wasn’t just large. It was young.
The march began in front of the Capitol building, where several state legislators and pro-life leaders gave speeches.
Youthful Voice for the Unborn
From every corner of the Keystone State, young men and women gathered to proclaim the truth: abortion is the murder of innocent children which gravely offends Almighty God.
The presence of youth was unmistakable. Their energy, resolve, and sense of mission infused the entire event with a hope that cannot be ignored. These young voices are not passive observers of a national debate, they are the front line of a moral crusade.
TFP Prayer, Music, and Purpose
Among the vibrant groups present were the volunteers of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property (TFP) and the full student body of St. Louis de Montfort Academy, a boarding school for Catholics boys who live the virtues of Chivalry.
Carrying a banner with the message: “Pray and Act to End the Sin of Abortion,” the students marched unapologetic in their faith, proud of their principles, and determined to stand for the voiceless.
The TFP marching band filled the streets with stirring hymns in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and patriotic melodies. The bagpipers, clad in full Scottish regalia, inspired marchers as they circled the Capitol, energizing the crowd with music that lifted hearts and emboldened spirits.
As the march reached its conclusion, the band ascended the Capitol steps, playing God Bless America as thousands passed by renewed in their resolve to fight for the right to life.
Why Are You Pro-Life?
During the march, TFP Student Action Director John Ritchie interviewed young participants, asking: “What is your top reason for being pro-life?”
Their answers reflected deep moral awareness:
- “Abortion is the murder of innocent children and offends God.” — Paul Victory, 11th grade
- “Because all life is precious.” — Julien Evans, 7th grade
- “We have a duty to defend the innocent.” — Daniel Dunlap, 12th grade
In a world where the truth is often twisted, these students affirmed moral values with courage and clarity.
Exposing the Culture of Death
Planned Parenthood felt compelled to respond to the tremendous pro-life turnout.
Signe Espinoza, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood PA Advocates, said, “Ninety percent of Pennsylvanians want abortion to remain legal. We will continue to make their voices heard in the halls of the Capitol every day.”
But inflated polls will never change the fact that abortion is a mortal sin, anti-natural, and harmful.
John Ritchie asked young pro-life marchers: “How is it that our culture mourns the death of children in school but celebrates the murder of babies in abortion mills?”
Paul Victory, a junior at St. Louis de Montfort Academy, didn’t hold back:
“The culture of death is full of contradictions and lies. They know what abortion does to innocent children, yet pretend to care about the safety of children in schools. It’s sickening. My generation must be different. We must promote a culture of purity, morals, and chivalry.”
A Call to Courage
TFP volunteers and students distributed copies of the powerful flyer: “Time for a Reality Check in the Pro-Life Cause.”
In the wake of national violence, including the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, the flyer’s message was both sobering and urgent:
- There are no moderates in the pro-abortion movement
- The pro-abortion position is not invincible
- The battlefield has changed—and so must our strategy
- Cultural transformation is not optional—it’s essential
It ended with a call to action that stirred hearts:
“Let us go forth, therefore, and bravely face the new realities that challenge us. With our prayer and action, we will improvise and dare as we march on to our blessed goal: A moral and abortion-free America under God. Let us not tire or rest until procured abortion becomes unthinkable and God and His Blessed Mother are glorified throughout this land.”
