Why This Prominent Baptist Leader Became Catholic
We live in dark times, both in the Church and in society. The crisis within the Church has become so severe that, unfortunately, many are leaving—or simply falling away. However, where great trials exist, grace abounds all the more. We frequently hear of remarkable conversions to the Catholic Church even today.
It is with great joy that we publish this exclusive interview with Jerry A. Johnson, Ph.D., recounting the path of his conversion. He has an extraordinary story to tell, and we are confident that you will come away edified, praising God and Our Lady for bringing him into the fold of Holy Mother Church.
Dr. Jerry A. Johnson serves as Ambassador for Patriot Mobile. He is Treasurer of the Council for National Policy and a member of its Executive Committee. He previously served as President and CEO of National Religious Broadcasters (NRB). Before that, he was President of Criswell College, Academic Dean at Midwestern Baptist Seminary, Dean of Boyce College, and Chairman of the Board at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also hosted the radio program “Jerry Johnson Live.”
For fifteen years, Dr. Johnson pastored Southern Baptist churches. He earned a B.A. from Criswell College, an M.A. from Denver Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Christian Ethics from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He speaks, teaches, and writes on ethics, theology, and the pressing policy issues of our time.
We invite you to watch this inspiring interview on his journey into the Catholic Church.
