Tell Austin School District to STOP Poisoning Children With LGBT Propaganda

In spite of being the capital of Texas, Austin is one of the most “progressive” cities in the country. Therefore, it finds itself on the cutting edge of the sexual revolution.

In a shocking move, the Austin Independent School District (AISD) has adopted one of the most radical sexual education programs in the world. The contents of the new curriculum are so immoral that it exceeds the most avant-garde sex-education courses in Europe.

Although Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a pro-life Catholic, blocked the adoption of Planned Parenthood’s sex-ed program by signing a law that prevents local governments from dealing with abortion providers, the city of Austin claims to have developed a new curriculum “internally.” The city’s updated program, however, is almost identical to Planned Parenthood’s and seems to source much of its material from pro-homosexual Canadian abortion providers.

Among the filth contained in the course are instructions on:

  • How to use contraceptives
  • How to reduce health risks associated with the act of sodomy
  • Encouraging children to act out role-play scenes
  • Handling drunken sexual encounters
  • How to procure “easy to hide” and “party ready” contraceptives
  • How to procure abortions while underage
  • How to undermine parental authority
  • When to “properly” engage in homosexual acts.

Additionally, the program tells children to “attend pride rallies” and identify as an “ally” to the LGBT community.

Gender theory takes up a huge portion of the material, as it makes claims that biological sex is detached from the concept of gender identity. Children are taught about bizarre fringe concepts such as pansexual, asexual, transgender and how to “[d]ifferentiate between gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation.”

Children are encouraged to become “gender theory” activists.

While students may not learn much about the term “heterosexual,” they will be taught in-depth what “homophobic” means and how to fight homophobia. In short, this program is designed to destroy the innocence of Austin school children and indoctrinate them with the most radical elements of “queer theory.”

AISD has already included the program in the lesson plans for the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, although it has been reported that students as young as the 3rd grade will be affected.

The bishop of the Diocese of Austin, Most Reverent Joe Vasquez, has encouraged parents to exercise their rights to opt their children out of the program and slammed the new curriculum in a letter to the board of trustees of AISD:

“[T]he proposed curriculum reflects the promotion of gender theory – namely, that gender identity is unrelated to one’s bodily sex – which remains an unproven hypothesis. To promote such a theory is irresponsible and not without real consequences. The growing acceptance of this has dramatically increased the desire for experimental interventions to address gender dysphoria despite the lack of convincing evidence that such interventions are beneficial. In reality, the overall failure of hormonal and surgical interventions (including increased risk of suicide), present strong reasons to view such a theory with suspicion. To make it the basis for the systematic instruction proposed in the human sexuality curriculum would be irresponsible.”

After pointing out that the curriculum downplays the virtue of abstinence, His Excellency continues:

“The content [of this course] is not age appropriate according to the legal requirement of 8-2F-28.004(c.3) 8-2F for 6th grade (which is 11 years of age).”

Bishop Vasquez adds: “This curriculum appears to instruct children on how to access prescription drugs (such as birth control), sexually transmitted infections services, as well as other… services including abortion procedures. It even instructs them how to obtain these services without parental consent, authorization, or even notification…”

Responding to this assault against children, concerned parents took to the streets and hearing chambers to voice their concerns. According to LifeSiteNews, parents at a rally denounced the program as an “attack on Christianity and family and on parental rights.”

The vice-president of Texas Values, David Walls, amplified this sentiment:

“This vote by the Austin ISD Board sends a clear message: people of faith and traditional moral values are not welcome in Austin ISD. By passing this curriculum, Austin ISD has broken the sacred trust that parents put in their children’s schools. Austin ISD parents have no reason to entrust their children to a school district that weaponizes education to indoctrinate children into the LGBT political movement.”

Despite the valid concerns of parents and other community leaders, AISD trustee Arati Singh, merely denounced opponents of the curriculum as “haters.”

Although the curriculum has already been approved, AISD needs to know that this program is unacceptable, immoral and harmful.

That is why TFP Student Action, in solidarity with the parents and children of Central Texas, is launching a petition to peacefully protest the decision of AISD which seeks to destroy the innocence of children, undermine the authority of the parents and turn students into activists for the sexual revolution.

In addition to signing the petition, readers are encouraged to respectfully make their concerns known to:
