Saint Mary’s College Pulls Pro-Abortion Links. Your Petition Worked.
When good men act, evil forces retreat.
After TFP Student Action launched its peaceful pro-life petition, Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California, finally removed several pro-abortion groups featured on its website.
Until recently, the college’s web page dedicated to Career and Professional Development Services -- including student internship recommendations -- contained links to three radical pro-abortion groups: National Organization for Women (NOW), NARAL Pro-Choice America, and Access Women’s Health Justice.
The web page that had listed the pro-abortion groups now displays the following message: “Error 404. It looks like you're lost!”
TFP Student Action launched its e-protest on March 11, 2020. The petition quickly garnered more than 21,000 signatures, urging Dr. James A. Donahue, president of Saint Mary’s College to remove the pro-abortion links.
“These radical pro-abortion groups undermine the God-given right to life,” reads the petition. “Not only does procured abortion rob the innocent lives of countless preborn babies, but it also unleashes the spiritual death of those involved with the sinful act against God, the Creator of life.”
TFP Student action is grateful to all its friends and supporters who signed the pro-life petition. Their voice made such a big impact that Saint Mary’s College was unable to ignore them.
“We all know that evil only advances when good men succumb to indifference and do absolutely nothing,” said John Ritchie, TFP Student Action director. “But evil did not win this time, because over 21,000 good men and women stood up and decided to do something about the promotion of abortion on a Catholic campus.”
With God’s grace, we will and must keep up the good fight.
