Defending Traditional Marriage at UT in Austin
A man who recognized the TFP from the March for Life in Austin parked his car to talk: "It's good to see Catholics out here doing something," he said. "I'm always impressed by the Catholics' strong stance on these issues. I can't get my Baptist friends to come out here, it's really a shame, not to mention the march for life is 90% Catholic. We even marched behind a cardboard cutout of Pope Francis!" he continued. "I saw your red standard there too. You're campaign is dividing the public into two groups. It's getting to the point where you can no longer remain neutral, you have to pick sides."
God bless America and protect our great nation from the pro-homosexual dictatorship.

Austin is known to be liberal. So, when the volunteers of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family, and Property (TFP) arrived at the intersection of Guadalupe and West 24th Street at the University of Texas, Austin, they were prepared for a strong show of opposition.
However, the response from the public wasn't as negative as anticipated and the TFP volunteers met what increasingly appears to be a polarized America.
Helpful police force
Not long after the campaign began, the police arrived. The lead officer said, "If somebody does something against you, call us immediately so we can help you and keep you safe." One of the police vehicles remained parked on the street for the remainder of the campaign, offering protection in case something happened.
A young man walking by stopped to take a flyer, 10 Reasons Why Homosexual Marriage is Harmful and Must be Opposed. "Thank you," he said, "I'm happy to see you out here taking a stand. At least someone is doing something."
Another man yelled "Praise the Lord!" from his truck window.
But liberal students did what they normally do -- use foul language and curse when politely addressed with "Good morning, would you like a flier?" Courtesy is not their forte, nor is intellectual discourse. Looking for a new way to insult us, a same-sex "marriage" advocate called the TFP standard a "crusader flag," which was received by us as a compliment. The holy Catholic crusaders are worthy of admiration.
It's always interesting to see how the opposition tries to imitate the TFP's successful honk signs. Isn't imitation a form of flattery.
Woman spits on TFP volunteer
A heavily tattooed man appeared with a sign which read, "honk for ignorance" and "equality is cool." One TFP member asked him: "So which parent can a child do without?"
The man replied, "I don't understand. You're being sarcastic."
The member replied, "No, I'm serious. It's a legitimate question."
"We're done here," the man promoting ignorance said. "We're done arguing."
A young woman walking by spat at a TFP volunteer, but missed. Spitting in someone's face is considered a criminal assault in several states, and in Texas is termed as "assault by contact." When another TFP volunteer courteously offered her a flier a few minutes later, she simply spat at him. This time it landed on his pants and shoes. This is what "tolerance" is all about?
An open homosexual entered a debate with a TFP volunteer from Ft. Worth and argued that there was nothing wrong with a brother and sister getting married. "You can't legislate morals," the student insisted, adding that there was no evil in a father and daughter marriage either. What are the slippery slope deniers going to say now?
Polarized People
After Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Mary's, a mother with several children inquired what the group of young men was doing in Austin. When she heard about the campaign for true marriage, she was very happy. "Thank you," she said, "Those of us who support you are having all the kids, we have biology on our side."
Then the campaign moved in front of the State Capitol. A young man from Mexico approached and asked if anyone spoke Spanish. When he heard about the campaign he said, "Ah, que bueno." And then he said in English, "This is good because you are showing them that we have a voice too."
In the afternoon, the campaign moved to a busy intersection. Here, two lesbians arrived with signs and harassed the campaign for about ten minutes, screaming, "God is love," and many vile profanities.

Thank you for all of you who have given Our Lady your "yes" to fight in this battle. It has truly been inspiring to see all of the overwhelming support you are all receiving during this campaign. It is easy for one to begin to loose hope in these extremely difficult times, but the presence you give in the public squares remind us all that we cannot allow Satan to deceive us in giving up. We are on the winning side. We are not alone. If you are ever in Central Florida, know that you all have a home here with open arms. It would be an honor to host such a brave group of men. All for the glory of God. God bless you all. Count on our prayers.

The moral climate in this country is rapidly lowering and people are not putting high expectations on themselves or their representatives.
TFP students fight for the protection and fostering the respect of "the mighty will of God." I thank God for bringing you into my life. I pray that he uses me tremendously in His vineyard. Thank you for inviting me to have a share in your worthy ministry. May His kingdom come.

I love the concept of 1 man 1 woman in marriage. If only people would realize this is where you find security, honesty and true love. I shall pray for your total success.
