STOP Pro-Homosexual “Pride Mass” at Duquesne University Chapel

June 5 update, at 2:51 PM: TFP Student Action was able to confirm that the "Pride Mass" was indeed canceled. "The Mass scheduled on June 11 was canceled," wrote Sarah Maxwell, assistant to the president of Duquesne University.
June 4: A blasphemous “Pride Mass” is scheduled on June 11, the Feast of Corpus Christi, at Duquesne University’s Holy Spirit Chapel. According to a promotional flyer, the sacrilegious event is for “LGBTQ Catholics, families, and allies.”

The Church’s highest and most sublime prayer is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Therefore, the Mass and the sin of pride are mutually exclusive. The distance that separates the Mass from pro-homosexual “pride” is the chasm between Heaven and Hell. No coexistence is possible.
Apparently, the local bishop has called for the cancellation of the planned sacrilege. But no official confirmation by Duquesne University has been issued to date.
Clear Catholic Teaching
The Church has always condemned homosexual vice as a grievous sin, one of the four that cry to Heaven for vengeance. The Catechism states: “Basing itself on sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered. They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved” (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2357).
Multiple passages in the Bible speak clearly against unnatural behavior. Concerning the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, St. Jude says: “Likewise, Sodom, Gomorrah, and the surrounding towns, which, in the same manner as they, indulged in sexual promiscuity and practiced unnatural vice, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire” (St. Jude 1:7).
Stop the “Pride Mass”
The so-called “Pride Mass” at Duquesne University is an outrage against God, His Blessed Mother, and the constant teachings of the Catholic Church. Not only should the blasphemous event be canceled and prevented in the future, but reparation should also be made to repair this grave offense perpetrated against the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
